hello all!

Thinking I will soon start building my next pc :)
I have a decent one but would like to build another so the wife can game with me as well, or my daughters.

Going to post here as I look to buy parts to gather some input :)

Will likely be going Intel based with an Nvidia gfx card.
Details up in the air.

Feel free to post thoughts on any parts at this point, however, I will likely be starting by looking at cases!

So, to begin, first two questions:

1. Which cases do you recommend? Size is not too much of an issue as I currently have a full size tower.

2. Air cooled or water cooled? Pros and cons? I have a husky that sheds ALOT and three cats so I feel water cooled may be beneficial, however, I have never built a water cooled pc :/

1. I have had a Fractal Design R5, and a Corsair 600C, and have built in a nzxt h440. Personally my favorite is the 600C as it has a hinged tinted plexiglass door and being an inverted case is dope af.

2. Performance wise, they're about the same. Linustechtips and others have done extensive testing that the difference is nearly negligible on an AIO and a good air cooler. Aesthically the Nzxt Kraken is one of the coolest looking coolers. You also dont have to worry about ram heights with an AIO that you might run into issues with a large 3 fan air cooler. For the doggos and cats you can put pantyhose or a ultra fine mesh over the rad to trap hair and dust which will make it incredibly easy to clean

Without knowing your budget it's a bit hard to pick a vid card...

So were just copy pasting the same build that was overpriced.

Nice effort.

Well, I am not looking for the 3090 or anything (since that is a bit overkill for current games).

I would say around $1200-$1500 or so (can be a little more, there is not "strict" budget).
