Ssra and the journey to vex thal was a grand adventure!
And once you were time geared in PoP, which took a great endeavor of guild raids, you were practically a demigod. It was a real accomplished and satisfying feeling when my duo on Agnarr got all bis'd out.
Unless your criticism is that you get way too overpowered, then, hey. But classic content will become easy mode as more expansions are released and the level cap increases. Did you not like the Alternate Advancement system? Which way should Sony/Verant/DPG have gone? Did you like the following expansion, LDoN? Most people hated it, but I thought it was a great complement to existing content.
also: Green is only at classic, Kunark comes out in a few weeks. They will stop at Scars of Velious, permanently. So no Luclin or PoP or AAs.
Personally, AAs I will agree were pretty awesome. Content of Luclin and PoP was where the game felt a bit exaggerated. The introduction of dragons for end-game, along with the sarnaks (whelp dragons/drakes), gave that medieval type feeling since EQ wasn't basing off of guns or anything of the nature. Don't get me wrong, I played up until SoD expansion and enjoyed the comeback of dragons in SoF (especially crystallos). I just enjoyed the beginning expansions, Mostly, due to how many people were truly active. When PoP came out, started to see 3 boxing people more abundantly.
All in all, EQ was a great game. Haha
Edit - LDoN was the introduction of strategy incorporating, honestly. Wasn't a fan of it other than that.
