Specs: i9-9900k
Rtx 2080 super
Aorus z390 carbon (msi)
64 ggb ddr4 ram (trident rgb)
Roseville 1000 watt bronze psu
Coolmaster Thermaltake cx400

Long story:
Left computer idle, came back hit power button (moboard was still functional, ram lit up, fans spinning) but the switch on case didn't work. Manually powered down by hitting psu on back. Went to power it up, nothing occurred. Upon inspection of moboard, noticed my case for holding hdds broke, shot up, hit moboard and bent pins as well as scraping psu casd but nothing that should affect functionality. After checking all cables, appears its either a moboard issue or power supply.
Nothing else appears damaged but don't know what to try and if I should deem both parts (psu + moboard) dead.

Tldr: need to test moboard and psu without having another psu or moboard and don't know how.

Need suggestions please :)

tldr: you can't, there's tests but not 100% accurate tests for psu.

Keep trying this, the PSU won't even turn on. I'm registering 3V on both PAUL'S (one old one new)

Greenwire and black wire (power and ground) + paperclip right? Should start it up?
