im sure they remember you but brace yourself. my mom tried to weaponize me and my brother. she could have done the same. be prepared for a potential bit of anxiety from them. try not to take it personally, its hard as a kid when youre being told things and then have to meet "the monster" again.
just be you, be their dad and hope for the best!
