then explain how they were good.
you dont even have to use more than 20 words.
I'm 37 and I've been online gaming since 1996, through various arpgs and mmorpgs, started with Diablo 1 tbh.
I find that Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 specifically, had some of the most absolute FUN pvp mechanics I've experienced still to this day.
If these games weren't dead, I'd have never left them to look for other games.
The pvp was so good because of mass teleportation. All characters being able to have Teleport in D1 and Enigma in D2, made both game's pvp kick ass.
It was a very unique flavor that I've yet to see in any other game to this day.
Of course there were other things that made D2 pvp really good as well, which I won't go into all of that. But mainly what made mechanically fun, was shot-gunning around with teleports all day.
Even the mechanics behind that teleportation play, really mattered in terms of how good or bad a player was. It allowed for a very high skill ceiling to the game and greatly rewarded players with fast reflexes.
In other words, Diablo 2 pvp was not a pixel spam fest like a lot of these new games. Diablo 2 pvp was all about precision & accuracy.
