Want to do a SP Classic playthrough, was wondering if anybody who knows about Classic knows if there's a patch that had a particular item that is pre-patch, bugged, something that would be really cool to find if I farmed my ass off for it
Never played classic before, other than when I was a kid just starting Diablo 2... don't remember anything about it tbh

I've been playing 1.00 recently. It's actually quite amazing, it's a completely different game. Very enjoyable, as long as you're aware of the bugs / features beforehand.

Some major differences:
Can't buy mana potions
No Hell immune monsters
Can kill Cow King endless times, and he's bugged so he drops tons of good items.

Ya 1.00 is pretty cool but you can also consider 1.06 because they fixed some major things especially if you're planning to play bowazon.
