"Tenet” was originally scheduled to debut on July 17 but was pushed back twice until Aug. 12. It’s unclear when it will now welcome audiences, but the studio plans to announce a new release date “imminently.”

Every few weeks, the studio pushes it back a few more weeks. The longer it goes, the more likely that they will have to cut their losses and give it a partial release.

I doubt this movie blows up at the box office anyways. Sucks for us fans tho, I’m really hyped for the film.

luckily I live in a rural area. Apparently Tenet will be playing in my area on Sep 3. I'm not sure if covid is enough to keep me away from this.

A lot of people are going to hate this movie and I wouldn't be surprised to hear people call it Nolan's worst, but I enjoyed it a lot. The story being impossibly vague for approximately 50-60% of the movie can get a bit annoying at times and some of the scenes felt gratuitous, but overall it was an exceptionally well made movie and I enjoyed the ride.

Once a few more people have seen it, there's one scene in particular I'd like to discuss. It felt like a purposeful loose end and it's still irritating me a bit lol.

managed to see this in a theater that had only 3 people, so didn't bother me at all having to go

I expected an A+ but I would rate it a B+

It definitely feels most similar to Inception. You'll easily lose track of which state you are in, which can make rewatching helpful since you will be better able to understand what's happening AFTER knowing the big reveal.

The thing about Inception though, was that the ensemble cast made the movie feel really crisp and pop off the screen. In comparison, Washington and Pattinson don't live up. But maybe it's not a fair comparison since they are only two people trying to fill the shoes of 5-6 A-listers. The main chick I thought did a great job, though the fact that she was not very attractive kinda killed the immersion.

I also didn't like the 'cheap trick' of having Michael Caine appear in the trailer to give the impression that he would play a role in the film, only to have him have only one tiny part.

I felt like the ending was intended to set up for a sequel. It would be really interesting to have a sequel with a new protagonist (while the previous protagonist gets a smaller role)
