for several months now i will occasionally wake up with a stiff and painful back. i was worried about kidney stones it hurt so bad. would go away about 20 min after waking up.
got a different job a new bed i do lots and lots of foam rolling and tennis ball rolling. i started taking cold showers. hot shower before bed.i drink more water. i try with and without pillow, pillow under knees.
not sure whats causing this. i do know i swam before bed last night and i didn't wake up hurting.
any advice?

Google a PT evaluation form and answer those questions and I will speak my thoughts out loud without giving you medical advice.

Check up at your Dr fam. Back problems don't just go away. I have a split disk and had to do year of physical therapy plus cortisone shots etc. I'm much Better now but you don't want to ignore these problems and have them when ur 40 fam.

Aren’t your malpractice insurance premiums up to date?

Have the DPT, not the license.

My boards exam is next Wednesday. Can't have insurance for something I don't have haha

I love that thing.

also bought a tens machine,
and have a hot pack.

between the 3, I substantially notice my back pain disappear.

They're worth the money?

yeah, I would say they are. at first I could do like a minute, now im up to like 5-6 at a time.
take it slow, don't go 90 degrees right away, you really don't even need to anyways.

do it 2-3x a day, and ive noticed big pain relief.

Jesus no...

An inversion table is simply just lumbar traction. Fixes the problem for a short while by providing relief, but doesn't actually fix the problem.

Tens machine is literally the same thing as a temporary fix providing pain modulation.

A hot pack literally is the same thing.

Every single thing you listed are temporary solutions that are usually provided for acute relief. A better idea would be to fix the actual problem that is causing the pain.
