I dont see the problem, It was an offer, not a bin, i dont see anything wrong, if people can can say no to an offer, or even completely ignore them until they want to reply when its convenient for them, then the offer should be able to be retracted as well
sure and i can refuse to trade with him based on that fact. there was a time on this form when an offer was worth something. posting meant something. those days are long gone.
