Are you renting the panels or buying them, installing them, and maintaining them yourself?

buying them on credit. Basically now i pay, say, $200/mo for electricity, after that I will pay $50/mo electricity and $100/mo credit :)

there isn't much to maintain really

Traded in my charger for a 2021 Model 3 Performance! Expected delivery is in 7-11 weeks. I’ll update with pics when I get it!

Going EV since I’m traveling for work now.. Seems the smartest route.

Lmao, I was waiting for it. I like them, I was about to pull the trigger on an rs5 sportback but I really just don’t feel like slamming that many miles on a car like that. I work in the city “nyc” so I want something that is good on mileage, isn’t gonna eat tires up, and is safe.

It’s a 3 year lease because I trade cars in like underwear. 3 years I’ll probably end up going with either an RS5 or a used RSQ8.

Until than, imma putt around in an EV lol.

probably not bad in NYC to be honest. Here in Houston it'd be rough.... Not a ton of infrastructure for them here and the city is flat so not uncommon for me to burn 200-300 miles in a day.

If they ever get a unit that can tow and still hold 400-500 miles, I'd be much closer on getting one though. We rented a model 3 in cabo earlier this year and it's a fun little car. Beat the shit out of that poor thing lol

right, and the infrastructure is coming. It's already nearly everywhere in most states..

Also, check out the CyberTruck.. That thing is fucking hideous BUT it can tow 14000 lbs, load 5000, has 500+ mile range, and is cheaper than nearly all 3/4 ton pickups. Also goes 0-60 in like 2.5 seconds because Tesla..

And yeah man, I'm siked about playing around in the car. 0-60 in 3.1, 1/4 mile times are like mid 11s, no gas bill.. It'll be a fun little car to dick around in for the next few years.

The problem is the range when towing. It typically gets cut by more than half with a 8-10k trailer.

I've honestly still been dailying my half ton ram since the start of 18 and I don't want to get rid of it. I wont use it to take the boat long distance as it's plenty for the truck but burning around to the lake and shit is no big deal. I've always got a work truck I can go scam if I need to go further. That being said, we are moving to a new lake and wont have to make the 90 min drive anymore so an ev could be in the cards eventually for me. The wife has been toying around with a model X for about 8 months now but also has range anxiety.

Same dude, I've been stressed about the range thing too. But that being said, Tesla definitely has made it easy on consumers through their trip planning app. I'll have to update ya'll on how it is.

And that model X is gangster dude. If I could have justified a 90k car, I would have bought one. And the damn delivery isn't until January 2022.

The concern was buying a 75k car and stacking a shit load of miles on it. I drive close to 20-30k a year.
