Lvl 16 leap = must to cover full screen - check
With leap you can survive much longer vs casters/bowa (my preferred bva build) also you can desynch palas

+2 sk mart helps alot

Id use angelics for ar and hp and rattle for crushing blow tho. Res you get enough from items & nat res

Ornate makes you slower -10run which i consider bad for tvt and with leap you only need def vs other barbs (usually 2h in tvt) so usually a 1ww run kills both anyways face to face - there is where you win by timing your ww . Only a pure def skilled barb (2h bvb) would probably still stand after 1ww

Is martel more dmg than dual wielding batle hammers? 46.5 Avg dmg x2 vs 80 Avg dmg?

dual doesn't give you twice as much hits though. Ww always tics once every 4 frames at classic, no matter the weaponspeed. Also there are no useful secondary effects like ow/cb/ at high dmg weapons that could justify going dual.
Therefor 2h is always the better option for dmg output.
