yeah my motherboard died i guess, and when my friend was trying to touch stuff apparently some of the case cords broke (my pc is nearly 4-5 years old?)

my computer stats:
intel core i7 6800K
nvidia geforxe GTX 1080 (EVGA)

i had a MSI X99A SLI PLUS (MS-7885) (SOCKET 0) mobo if that helps at all

just looking for cheapest\most reliable options

Finding a NEW socket LGA2011-3 motherboard is going to be next to impossible. And even used replacements will be highly over priced. Your best move may be to just upgrade the CPU, motherboard and RAM.

Something like this, maybe... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q8MtDx

Otherwise, I would check on ebay or the like for a used x99 chipset motherboard.

Yeah, it will. At least your old RAM is DDR4. There MAY be some stability issues, but probably not.

/e If I knew the exact make/model of your old RAM, I could check it for compatibility.

The problem is that the x99 motherboards are out of... everywhere. Like I said before... I would look on ebay if you have your heart set on an X99 motherboard.

Here's the selection on Newegg (new, used, refurbished), the prices are nutz.

https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100007627%20600533617%20600528600%2050001312%2050001314%2050001315&Order=PRICE

/e

And here's PCPartpicker's selection...

Here's a build with a cheaper CPU and case... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JhsGZf

^Ghot

I tried to put your build with my PSU, got this

Note:The Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the EVGA SuperNOVA GA 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it.
Note:Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.
