around 55 is where they start (including whites), level 45/50 from EP's (i.e no whites though).
For safeties sake and the fact it doesnt change a lot i suggest ~58, as sometimes i believe the game spawns mobs lower and higher level than you are, which i believe influences the experience you receive. I've had say level 10 items dropping for whistle mobs at level 8, i believe this is when they've spawned 2 levels higher than you. There's no exact science but i'm pretty sure 65 is no longer correct because of the rewrite allowing level 1 mobs to drop tier 3's (there was a time they only dropped tier 1's). Using the same logic level 55 items drop from level 55's.

Lastly, if you get bored of killing yourself over and over, you can probably do 55-71 normally killing at least twice as many mobs seeing there's no wait for killing yourself/regenning then back to level 55 within reasonable speed with the right gear. Players such as derduff Zalc rabbitroyal and myself do very well for drops using this method.
I prefer this option as you can retain the stat points from each fail and the proficiency.

Playing on HC I don’t have the option to death farm but my normal farm method is whistle to 35 where I get my first swap of ML gear then explore to MQ. I’ve found easily 100kfg worth of gear in the last year and on SC those items likely could have been even more.

given HC hasn't reset in well over a year (5 years?) i'm guessing he reroll's if a group climb comes up.

This is sometimes what i do with my Alch, a bit inefficient if the alch is level 55 or something but then the real beauty comes in where you climb a second character with the group to 55 then swap over to your main character. This is especially nice once you've reached WL/HH/Alch.
This then lets you continue your solo where you left off or gives you a high level mule all whilst completing your main characters MQ

Honestly most times if I’m soloing that’s what I’ve chosen to do and availability of a group doesn’t affect my decision. If I’m lower than lvl 40 I might reroll otherwise my main drive playing has always been drops I also tend to do solo climbs in a single sitting and normally late at night when groups don’t run.

Warlock has definitely been the class that has been most profitable.

So you're just using 1 character the entire time and if a group comes, you just reroll if your lower than 40.. interesting.

You should also keep in mind that HC is not always nearly as active as it is lately. It wasn’t like I had the option to group all that often so I solo a lot. There have been days were I’d do multiple solo climbs in a row during high item stat boost events.

Why are you doing this? To get drops? I assure you that you will get more drops if you just climb 1-MQ over and over again. Sell mutes to muters and you will make significantly more fg than doing this shit. It's not like more items drop at lvl 55+, most of my good drops have been at a way lower level.
