Not even going to mention the case cause it's a personal choice and really doesn't do anything for the pc as a whole.
However considering what you spent maybe you should of went with a non reference card... I mean unless your going to do a water loop.

i was going to get this, but the card i got was $699.99 i thought a good price. this was my second choice, what were you thinking ?

I usually recommend the gigabyte oc gaming but prices are weird atm.
If price is no issue then Asus strix for sure.
The reason people opt for reference is cause they get cherry picked early and tend to oc the best on water.
Companies like Asus msi and so fourth get nvidias seconds to work with.

So what would be the pros / cons going with the gigabyte oc over my 2080 super stock ? I’m a little new to OC and how it works.

Better thermals and higher stock oc
Along with the aesthetics

Oh and the nicer cards for sure have a silent mode
Dont think the reference cards have that.

damn :\ i was actually going to buy that MSi originally and i posted about it as well. I've been playing FN on max settings getting 120 FPS and just slightly under 100 when in load. CPU temps don't exceed 62C underload. pretty silent thus far. hopefully the new pcie 4.0 is compatible with my mobo. i will consider more power in the future if the frames per $ are worth it. i didn't see good value in the ti otherwise i would of bought. $1200 for a 2 year old card is kind of nuts man.

Bro I feel it, I need 3 monitors to handle work loads with efficiency.
Only reason I haven't gone to 144hz at 1440p is cause after dropping 1500 on monitors I 'd need another 3k for cards that would still struggle with it.
1080p@60hz is my life for now.

pictures don't do it justice, but i picked this case for future waterloop build. its full aluminum construction, very high quality. i'm not saying its the best case, but i wanted something open case style.
