Sure it might not distract us the players, but we have resources at hand majority of our community don’t have. And the smallest distraction for them, can start a trickle-down effect that may never stop. Especially with the way the climate is now. I would love nothing more than to win my very first NBA Championship. But the unity of My People would be an even bigger Championship, that’s just too beautiful to pass up. Dwight's got other stuff going on. One of his baby mama's died recently from a seizure. I think it has more to do about that than anything else.

I don't get the part though where he makes it sound like a distraction is a bad thing. I feel like everyone wants some entertainment and feel some sense of things becoming more normal.

if people get distracted all of these protests meant nothing and nothing will ever change.

We should delay the election for a year then.

I would make the arguement that it's the best time for athletes to demonstrate their own protests because it's so fresh in peoples minds and more people are willing to understand and listen than at anytime prior.
