wrong. ideas dont kill people, people kill people. there are plenty of people of a like mindset that didnt kill mlk or george. it was an individual choice.
and yes, that mindset is still around in 2020, but its few and far between. there is no institutional racism anymore. do idoit white cops every now and then unnecessarily kill black people? yes, but its the exception, not the rule. theres no rule or conspiracy among all white cops to kill blacks. its something that happens on an individual level. otherwise it would be happened far more often than the once a year or so that it currently happens. while it sounds like a lot, and it shouldnt happen at all, its none-the-less a drop in the bucket of all interactions between white cops and black civilians, and statistically insignificant.
the one "institutional rule" that is likely a contributing factor is cops' tendency not to snitch on one another. but that has nothing to do with race, its across the board in any situation.
what? once a year? pretty sure more black lives are taken by police then once a year. It is not even white vs black. George Floyd could of been white and I still think we may see this level of intolerance in the American people.
Police have been killing innocent people and claiming they feared for their lives Yet they were able to walk away unscathed. With no criminal conviction and no accountability. The mask that police are the good guys have been pulled in front of a lot of Americans.
That is not the case anymore since social media and cellphones. More and more police infractions have come to light. The thugs that killed George did it because they were comfortable with doing it. Knowing the chance of them getting in serious trouble was very slim to none in their mind because they have killed before and gotten away with it. The fact that their own coroner has tried to say he died due to heart failure and drugs reinforces that fact. That the blue line and blue shield will do what they can to protect any officer from any situation. It is the police vs the people and the police have started this war time and time again.
People demanding peaceful protests are the same people who shunned and condemned Kappernick when he was kneeling against police brutality. That was the peaceful protest and Americans didn't like it and now they have war in just about every major city.
If you do not belive this has turned into a war then you are mistaken as military personal (people who we train for war) have boots on the ground and are now occupying Minneapolis and St. Paul right now. Gun fire skirmishes have been reported in Indiana. L.A Police cars are set on fire and smashed. tools of war like concussion grenades, flashbangs etc are being used on the American people. MLK had a dream and for many decades we have been living in his nightmares..the last few days his nightmares have become a reality.
