I think I've come across these numbers before but didn't know they were official hate symbold like a swastika. If the stats are true why is it considered racist to acknowledge the statistics and implement policies in accordance with the stats 🤔

The number 13 used in conjunction with either the number 52 or the number 90 is a shorthand reference to racist propaganda claims by white supremacists against African-Americans to depict them as savage and criminal in nature.

In this numeric shorthand, the number 13 refers to the purported percentage of the U.S. population that is African-American. The number 52 refers to the alleged percentage of all murders committed in the U.S. that are committed by African-Americans. Some white supremacists use the number 50 instead of 52.

Numbers are now a hate crime.

Swastika is not a hate symbol. Buddhists and hindus used these symbols in practicing their faith.

The nazi version Should really be moved away from being called a swastika.

Hindu myself, the nazis ruined it in the west. It's still a common symbol in the east and has a different meaning.

I wondered what those numbers meant.

Google and it just divides the numbers lol. I felt like a boomer.

Statistics are useless without context at least. Statistically you can prove that gun violence increases with ice cream sales and draw the stupid conclusion we need ice cream control.

Whites in poverty commit a decent amount of crime (prisons are full of poor white people) and black suburban middle class families aren't shooting each other.

These numbers symbolize the 1% successfully framing the class war into a race war.

Facts are racist.

It's a statistic without meaning. I mean, you could easily ask the same question of, "Why do blacks make up 13% of the population, yet represent 53% of all murder victims?"

When you factor OUT gang violence, suddenly the murder numbers start to look far more representative. Anyhow, here, have some crime statistics that are useless in and of themselves:

Where do you see those statistics? If you view the crime statistics I linked above, 53.3% of all murder victims are black. 54.9% of all murders were committed by people who were black. That indicates that not only could every black casualty be performed by a black individual, but there'd still be some left over.

So I don't know where your "facts" are coming from at all.

Just as I don't believe the 13 52 thing is relevant either.
