A leaked draft of the EO expected to be issued soon is out
It empowers the FTC to review section 230 within 30 days to decide whether social media companies (twitter) should be liable for tort as publishers, orders federal agencies to review within 30 days whether to suspend advertising and marketing on online platforms (twitter), asks the FTC to review whether social media companies lying about their online censorship constitutes violations as unfair or deceptive practices, and further asks the AG (barr) to review state statutes on unfair or deceptive practices for violations like the former.
