You need your first round pick for salary reasons much more. If you go for this trade your window drastically decreases because you will need to start dropping players left and right in a couple years much like the vikings just had to do when we lost all of our starting CBs this season
They could theoretically backload Adams' contract enough to have like a 1 or 2 year window. And Adams could get his money now with a signing bonus. But it just seems like such an awful move long-term that I can't understand why they would do it. You'd have everyone's cap hits go through the roof in year 3, and then you'd basically become the Rams.
