I could say i watched the whole season thoroughly, i kept rewinding and repeating every episode, figuring the codes and the lingos.

I enjoyed season 1, should i continue watching all the remaining til the end of Season 5?

Some don't like the second season beacause of the setting and characters.
I still like it though.

Love the show, rewatch it every couple of years, still one of the best shows out there.

Really?

I love the second season. Three is my favorite but Frank in S2 is one of my favorite characters of the show. Four is amazing and five gives it one of the best endings to a show. If anything S1 is the worst of them imo.

I've watched The Wire 5 times. Trying to get my girl into it so I can have an excuse to watch it a sixth time....

Def watch all the seasons. Each season has a different focus that outlines crime and corruption from the street level through to the governmental level.

It's an amazing show. I'm not sure why anyone would have to rewatch episodes immediately to figure things out, but to each their own.

Each season is different and covers different aspects of our society and how crime ties together with it.

We get a look at street level crime and how it's combated directly by the police in S1. How the ports are used to enable crime in S2, then we get looks at government, education and the press throughout the remaining three seasons. It's all pretty damn fascinating and I loved every season. I dropped it the first time I watched it somewhere in S3, but I picked it back up from the beginning recently and am soooo glad I did.

Cop shows were never my thing, but I never gave it an honest shot, & quit watching after an episode or two. Everyone always talks about how great it is though, so I guess I should give it another go

give it another go, it's a masterpiece. I also admit it took a while for me to get into it, I quit after watching the first couple episodes as well, but i tried it again & im glad i gave it another try.
for me this show was more about "the game" than a "cop" show, although it's more up to the viewer

just fkin love how poetic this shit is though, the irony and all that shieeeeeet
