installing a 100 watt max head unit
not sure if thats 100 watt total or 100 watts per channel
It has a built in amp putting out 45rms per channel

Looking to find out what 6.5 speakers would put out some good bass for this
if i got 70rms per speaker would that be to much rms or not enough

Any info would be helpful Thanks

I'm confused by your question... a headunit usually puts out about 22-25RMS, you would not be getting anywhere close to 100w.
If your factory amplifier is putting out 45w (not sure how you tested.) then 70w speakers should be perfectly fine. This is where efficiency comes into play with speakers, some get louder off less power, some require more.

I would ignore the power output of your aftermarket radio when it comes to selecting speakers. ideally you should get to a quality shop in your area (if they are even open) and have a listen to what they have to offer. After that, i would buy online.
