started with arc for industrial things then moved to mig soo easier
to be a ok welder takes about a few days of practice to be a great one takes years and even then

If your just doing body work and not welding anything more than 1/4 inch thick a nice 110 welder willbe more than enuff. I would stay away from a flux core welder, spend the extra money and get one that runs on gas. Just my opinion
