You could try using Gimp, it's free and a little bit more like Photoshop, might get you better results.

It doesn't look absolutely horrible, but it's not great lol. Find a higher quality background image instead of stretching something small, and work on the text and maybe spacing of the images.. you'll be fine with some practice :)
