Looking at the games that are coming out these days, there doesn't seem to really be a "correct" number, but I'm curious what everyone's hoping for with D4.
I loved being able to choose between 5 characters/classes in D2, and the extra two with the expansion. I'll be disappointed if it's only 3 or even 4

They will start with a few. Then they be like become a vip member and get an additional 1 character slot for 20$

Ama Assa Druid Barb Pala Necro Sorc DH Monk Witchdoctor + 2 new classes

Paladin, sorc, barbarian, druid, Amazon, necromancer, assassin + 2 more for expansion (Monk, enchantress)

You are probably right, and it's pretty sad to see.. they will make more money that way though, with expansions or DLC.. or even if they release them for free, it will refresh the life of the game when they do so.

It seems you're correct. Keeping it the same, sounds good to me ^^

3 is fine as long as game is good and there are all core things from d2 in it. Open trading, good itemzation, balanced drop rates, good atmosphere etc.
