So we have 3 bare metal servers
#1 is the main one used atm and has AD1 running on it
#2 is the SQL server - not needed for anything related to the issue
#3 is the back up server which has AD2 running on it

So my problem is we have 29 computers in the building running on the server, about half of them are pulling time from AD1 which they are supposed to be
the other half is pulling time from AD2, which in most cases i wouldn't care but for whatever reason AD2s time is running like 5 minutes fast
i have gone into AD2 and manually adjusted the time to be correct, it instantly reverts to the wrong time
i've adjusted the bare metal times to see if that affects the VM's, no difference
i've disabled syncing to an outside time
i've tried picking an outside time source to sync from and no matter which one i use it is still about 5 minutes fast

looking at all the computers individually they don't even give me the option to pull time from AD1 or AD2 at all, it just seems kinda random which it was thrown into

if it matters
AD1 is Windows Server 2016
AD2 is Windows Server 2012 R2
both are VMs being ran on Server 2016 bare metals using Hyper-V

i like to think i'm, pretty savvy with this kinda stuff but i cannot figure out how to get it to stick when i change it or have it sync correctly, maybe i'm missing something
any help would be awesome

Are your DC's running in the same version?

Also what NTP server are you syncing with?
