Sup guys, I have an Audi a5 2017 b8.5 2.0 Tfsi.

I just tuned it with APR stage 1 and was wondering if adding a downpipe would void the warranty.

With Stage 1, I can just reset it to stock for inspections and shit but I really want stage 2.

Anyone know?

I mean your warranty is probably already fukt my dude. Might as well go for it. They can see it's been tuned even if you revert to factory settings. They can ultimately blame most failures on your mods. People can claim "no, I challenged them and won", but good luck with that shit lol.

Most failures? That's false. How will a tune affect many mechanical failures? People can claim? They don't claim. It's true. It's literally illegal.

You mean there’s stuff on the internet thats not true!?!? Please tell me how a tune causes a water pump to go bad? Power steering? Etc. don’t believe everything you read online. Do your research on the laws. Consult a lawyer. It cannot and does not void warranty under normal conditions. Your tune has to cause the problem and they have to prove it caused the problem. They can’t just say your tuned so you can’t get your water pump replaced under warranty. Now if you up your boost to 20psi and blow your engine then that’s obviously different. But use common sense people.

Lol I’m talking Powertrain here wtf are you talking about

Let’s not give the dude bad information that none of the mods he’s doing won’t impact part of his warranty.

It’s literally against the law. Can you not read. You didn’t say Powertrain. And I am. A tune cannot void Powertrain warranty without causing faults. I literally do this for a living. I’m well aware of this act. But thank you for having your opinion with you having no knowledge of the subject.

Rofl. Ok kid. You must be a Fucking subject matter expert for every dealer in the country. Go read google. Thanks for your opinion but you obviously have no knowledge of the subject.

Since you’re so fucking intelligent surely you remember when 5.0’s first came out people were popping 8 cyl and if they had tunes their warranty was voided? Or do you just selectively choose what info you wish to retain?

So let me get this straight... dealerships make laws? I wasn’t aware of that... 😂😂😂 are you really dumb? I’ve literally stated if the tunes caused the damage, the owner is liable. But if you go into warranty work with a tune and it’s not caused by your tune, they have to honor it. But good job on thinking you know everything and spreading misinformation instead of taking this time to learn. Kid.
