Old school Trek 850 with Rock Shox front shocks. Originally was 18 speed, now it's a 24 speed. Some other aftermarket stuff, rode a lot when I lived in Phoenix.

How dangerous is mountain biking? My wife and I are looking into a new hobby. We usually work out together but my shoulder/back are in a serious decline from a lifetime of sports. She seems to think it's really dangerous but outside of some broken bones I don't see the big concern =P.

She was thinking about biking through the city and that seems way more dangerous. I'd rather trust myself than the fools on the street.
