Doubt he has any gas left in the tank but could be good veteran leadership on the bench.

The knicks already have like 5 PF's.

Elton Brand gonna change it up and run 5 small guards now.

The Knicks are reportedly interested in Sixers GM Elton Brand as their next general manager. New Knicks president Leon Rose is from South Jersey and was Joel Embiid’s agent and negotiated Joel’s contract with Elton Brand.

But a Sixers source says Elton is under contract beyond this season and Sixers are happy with his work since being named GM and they value his leadership, as well as strong relationships with players, agents, execs in the NBA.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure EB could give the Knicks some quality minutes on the floor and be one of their best players at this stage lmfao.

I like EB though, doubt he goes anywhere (especially the shit Knicks). Brett Brown on the other hand, who actually has as much if not more control of the team decisions than EB does, is a different story.

how does the coach have more control of the team decisions than the GM? I can't think of many teams where that was the case... Pop? Thibbs? LeBron?

e/ Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Pringles, maybe Doc Rivers

Because the team got rid of colangelo who talked shit about embiid and then didn't even make a real attempt at interviewing real gm's

brett brown was the interim gm during that years draft and the whole front office works together as a whole and it includes a lot of colangelo's cronies that didn't get fired before.

I thought it was Brand who ultimately decided on the Tobias max, the Horford contract, etc is this inaccurate?

Someone needs to be held accountable for both the Sixers ineptitude to get to the finals after years and years of tanking.

But the Knicks are a lost cause until change of full ownership.

The whole front office works together as whole and Brett Brown has a huge influence on what they do.

Brand is just there but who knows how much he has a say.

I mean he went from retired player to g-league gm to sixeres gm in like a year. he's just a puppet.

I see, I personally would hold the GM accountable. If he is able to be so easily manipulated and walked over, then he probably isn't worth keeping around (POV as a fan)
