To clarify your post, the staff of herding is used to open a different wimsy (dale? shire?) which has a chance to drop the wimsy portrait frame which is NOT available in rainbow goblin wimsy. The wings are only available via rainbow goblins however. Hopefully this will help out.

Hey guys i have a question: i got a primal ancient bovine bardiche, does this yield anything special compared to a regular or an ancient?

nope same staff as a non ancient/prim
