ok so using the video card, give me a decent motherboard and cpu upgrade compatible with what i already have

You could also just upgrade the CPU.

like these...

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/C9hj4D/intel-core-i7-8700-32ghz-6-core-processor-bx80684i78700

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/rD4BD3/intel-core-i5-9500-3-ghz-6-core-processor-bx80684i59500

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/L6vbt6/intel-core-i7-9700-3-ghz-8-core-processor-bx80684i79700

These are all the same wattage and will all just drop right into your current motherboard.

/e Don't worry about the motherboard temperature. If your motherboard was really 119C it wouldn't function anymore. It's most likely just a motherboard temp sensor that is bad.

Will just upgrading CPU fix the dropped frames issue while streaming? currently my computer cant handle streaming and playing a resource hog game like modern warfare or PUBG. im fine with my 1060 video card as graphics arnt my main concern but performance is. my price range for upgrades would be 5-600.
im not sure if its just the way it sounds but the fans seem to be over working when playing those games. so im also afraid of over heating. i have not had any issues with that though. The Computer itself is good for what it is, but if i can upgrade it to just be better, that would be awesome. if you say only upgrading the CPU will be fine, then yeah. i just want it to be fine for another few years

You need an i7 or i9 CPU with multi threading for that.

These two will do fine for streaming and resource hog games... and they will fit right into your current motherboard.

/e Your current CPU (i5 6400) is 65W, socket 1151, and so are these two I just linked. Yours doesn't have multi threading, but these two do.

/ee If you still want a new motherboard, we need to know what size your current motherboard is, (these dimensions are in inches).

Yeah, I saw that link upo in post #4. ASUS makes motherboards with an H110 chipset in all three sizes. You will need to open the case and look.
All three types of motherboard are each, 3 inches different, so it should be easy to tell between 12, 9 and 6 inches.

/e But like I said up above, you really don't NEED a new motherboard. That 119C motherboard temp is just a bad sensor. 119C is 246F. If that board was really at 119C is would be dead already.

see thats the thing, this was the second one they sent me because i actually returned the first one because of it reading at that temp, so idk.
but ill open the case and look.
Also, would i need a new power supply?

Here's the problem. A prebuilt computer uses proprietary parts (made or ordered JUST for that build). Ordinary standardized parts may or may not "fit". It's hard to recommend parts for a prebuilt.

Recommending a CPU is easy. We know the socket, the wattage... so we can recommend a CPU that WILL be compatible with your motherboard. We can recommend SSDs or hard drives as well.

The size of the power supply (LxWxH) is determined by the case. We can see the case dimensions on the ASUS website. But we don't know if the case uses standardized power supplies.

This is why I just recommended the CPU. We know that will fit and work and do the streaming and resource heavy games you want.

/e And no you shouldn't NEED a new power supply. The two CPUs I linked have the same power draw as the CPU you currently have. They are all 65w CPUs. They are all socket LGA 1151 CPUS.

/ee Either of these two CPUs will drop right into your current motherboard, and will take your current CPUs lunch money.

/eee On Computer Building Discussion sub forum, this is how we feel about prebuilts... for all the reasons I have mentioned.

i know, i just didnt have much money at the time and it was on sale for black friday.

Now my last question
solely upgrading CPU, will that solve my issues of not being able to play games at good quality? i have to turn down the settings on everything i play to bare minimum or i stutter.

These CPUs should solve all your issues.

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GWMwrH/intel-core-i9-9900-31-ghz-8-core-processor-bx80684i99900

IF you want a real computer (w/o the high intel prices), reuse your SSD, hard drive, optical drive and vid card...and get this...

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HCMzWb

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yvmXFG <---- same build with a slightly faster CPU.

Don't worry about the warning. This motherboard can do this... IF necessary:

Quote
Flash BIOS Button: Simply use a USB key to flash any BIOS within seconds, without installing a CPU, memory or graphics card
