see thats the thing, this was the second one they sent me because i actually returned the first one because of it reading at that temp, so idk.
but ill open the case and look.
Also, would i need a new power supply?
Here's the problem. A prebuilt computer uses proprietary parts (made or ordered JUST for that build). Ordinary standardized parts may or may not "fit". It's hard to recommend parts for a prebuilt.
Recommending a CPU is easy. We know the socket, the wattage... so we can recommend a CPU that WILL be compatible with your motherboard. We can recommend SSDs or hard drives as well.
The size of the power supply (LxWxH) is determined by the case. We can see the case dimensions on the ASUS website. But we don't know if the case uses standardized power supplies.
This is why I just recommended the CPU. We know that will fit and work and do the streaming and resource heavy games you want.
/e And no you shouldn't NEED a new power supply. The two CPUs I linked have the same power draw as the CPU you currently have. They are all 65w CPUs. They are all socket LGA 1151 CPUS.
/ee Either of these two CPUs will drop right into your current motherboard, and will take your current CPUs lunch money.

Computer Building Discussion sub forum, this is how we feel about prebuilts... for all the reasons I have mentioned.
