so i currently have the asus g11cd and have an issue with games crashing due to CPU overload

I am aware of speccy showing 119 degrees. its been like that since i bought it 3 years ago. What can i upgrade to get better performance that wont break the bank.

What power supply are you using?
I can't imagine Asus went with something nice since the board has an H110 chipset. Thats like bone stock level crap.
I was going to recommend a i7 6700 and gtx 1070 just to push it up a whole level but I doubt the hardware is good in that machine.

You might just be better off pulling that GPU and Drives out then moving to a new system.

First off how are you sure its a "cpu overload".
Secondly the i5 6400 should not be exceeding 70C and your idle I'm assuming it 58C so probably new thermal paste and a good old dusting.

this is everything. Im not sure what the power supply is. I bought this about 2 years ago. I never had any issues but these new fps games are starting to really strain it. call of duty warzone is killer on it and so is pubg. even with everything turned down.

clean it out and do some simple maintenance like the other guy said and see if it helps
im kind of surprised you aren't getting a fair experience on pubg at low cause it came out 4 years ago

/e checked up on the 6400 ... it is a slooooooooow processor
its approaching amd fx slowness

since you're playing at 1080p its definitely hurting that cpu

you could reuse everything except the board/cpu
im guessing the ram is set frequency of 2400mhz or 2133mhz
i watched a video doing a review of your computer model and the power supply looks super generic but its probably serviceable

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Z9XzCL

a B360M / B365M board and 9400F would be a cheap solution if you don't want to break the bank

otherwise just look into getting a new computer

Don't say break the bank, we have no idea what that means to you personally. To some people that means $200, to some it means $1k
