Im sure someone else can make you a descent build but i am not good at it.

Yeah, just wanting to get something that'll run a bit smoother. I'm not travelling as much anymore, so could do away with the laptop.

it says intel(r) core(tm) i5-3320m cpu @ 2.60ghz 2.60ghz

and 4gb ram

Yeah... Not what you said in the first post.
That previous build posted is shit.

Buy this:

You're also going to have to remember that OSRS is a glorified flash game, it's just never going to be buttery smooth gameplay.

i watched some streams, and the gameplay looked really smooth (atleast compared to mine) i'm playing on low detail fixed mode on a tiny screen relative to my laptop screen's size, and it's brutal

what's the difference between these 2 builds

problem with this build is when you convert it to the canada page version it gives you a price of almost 700 CAD without rebates since the vendors and currency is different
unless OP is spending US dollars.

Buy a 3rd gen Ryzen, 3xxx, 16gb ram dual channel with good speed, the rest doesnt matter. Case closed. I cant believe ppl reccomend 4core 4threads processors in 2020...

... and then call other reccomandation shit while they have a 60$ case in a 400$ config

get something like this. You won't need a graphic card for your needs, that i3 9300 is pure trash, Ryzen 5 has 8 threads that will run at 4.2ghz with no issues, has boxed cooler and an integrated card able to play 60 fps games at full hd.

make sure you get dual channel memory, so 2 sticks of 8gb not 1x 16 even if its a little bit more expensive.

you can save the case price by just begging at the corner or going with 5 bucks at a local second-hand parts shop or ebay / local craigslist type of site, hdd should be bought new since old ones might have issues.

ahh this one comes to $620 when converted to CAD before monitor/keyboard if it's worth the next ~$200 i don't mind though.

e/ it also says possible compatibility issues with some bios/cpu update?
