started happening once i got a new modem through rogers (isp)

no other devices are having any issues

my desktop is connected to the modem, but the internet randomly drops and it says there is no internet access. i disconnect/reconnect my network connection then it works fine, then drops after a random time

anyone know? tried restarting both, computer & modem

Update router firmware.
Change cable from router to pc.
If wireless get fuck'd, go buy a powerline adapter.
check windows power settings.
Update network cards drivers.
Test power outlet for router.

Nothing helped? Call rogers and say its defective and switch out the unit.
If needed request the older router model instead.
