literal harassment from users because they just can't help themselves but spam your threads should be put to a stop
this would work the same as the pm block function, just within threads you posted, and maybe limited to just certain forums.

I'd encourage heavier moderation rather than giving normal users more power.

i might have voted yes if you would have mentioned that it costs fg to block someone like that.

But you could just block people you don't want posting on your threads without said people doing anything to you or your threads. So yeah, there could be abuse on both sides.

blocking people from posting could have some harsh negative effects.
i.e. the Political and Religious Discussion sub-section. users could narrate who has a voice in real-time as discussions progress.
the same thing with making replies. it is a common act for people to get the "last word" in and then block someone. it is also common for people to make drama public when the option is there.

if you're having issues with a user. do not respond to them, and report their posts.
if someone is consistently bothering you, collect the examples and send them to one of the leaders of that sub-forum section via pm.

just something to note, if you are engaging with the user, it is hard to take a side and both parties may eventually be punished.
