I can only speak for europe, from what i read here east is little more populated.
There is a small community regularly csing at ladder and a small pvp community at nl. Classic is most populated in the first month after reset (next is probably in june), but there are more players active atm due to pandemic crisis.
But most of the time there is no public game.
