0 positive testes in nhl my from july 18-25. And now all teams are in their respective bubbles.

meanwhile the mlb is on the verge of being shut down with two games cancelled this evening due to an outbreak in the Marlins organization.
they arent doing the bubble idea though, so i cant say im too surprised lmao

Seems Bettman is the smarter commissioner here. Mlb guys can walk around and do whatever after and before games. Not so in our bubble hubs.

From what i understand the mlb wanted to do hub cities/bubbles and the players voted against it, so in a way it's their own fault lol.
But yeah, the nhl and nba seem like they certainly had the superior plan.

MLB is different though because you have almost 30 teams playing every day so you would need to have at least 8-9 fields available within the hub cities. The only places that have that is Arizona and Florida, but both of these places are amongst the most affected by Covid so it's hard to blame them for not wanting to play there.

I agree though that the way they are doing it right now is pretty much destined to fail, but they didn't really had any other option if they wanted to have a season.
