windows?
in windows start search 'partition'
create and manage partitions or whatever it is (disk management)
see disk there (probably below saying unallocated)
click it, format.

You can also go into your bios menu to see if it’s recognizing that there is a ssd inserted so you don’t have to wait for windows to start up. Depends on what motherboard you have but I know some bios menus will let you format drives in bios. I know that’s what I did when I installed my second ssd.

If you haven’t figured it out by the time I finish lunch I’ll hop on my pc and see exactly where it is in the menus.

yeah, i was just reading up on your laptop and turns out a lot of people are unable to use nvme with that motherboard. something you could try that seems to have worked for others is to go to
the samsung website and manually install the samsung nvme driver. if it still doesn't work after that, you're probably not going to be able to use nvme with your laptop. I hope it works though! :)

Sounds like it man. Saw a lot of others with the same issue and everyone with the exact model as you didn’t end up being able to use nvme.
