I had a hyper 212 evo or what they're called and it recently died after years of use (refused going over 200rpm) so I bought a random cheap fan cant remember which.

My temps are now at ~70-80 while gaming (escape from tarkov) - is this okay or should i lower the OC's? I cleared the old thermal paste and applied new while I was changing the fan since I was already in there so it's fresh

Currently have: 4.2ghz at 1.190 voltage
I know at 4.0 with 1.180 temps are usually around low 70s this small increase in clock gives me such noticeably better frames in tarkov.

So I'm just wondering if its safe to run cpu at 75-80 degrees for regular gaming and not stress test

Uh the CPU doesn't completely throttle until 90C but 80C isn't good in the long run for it.
I would get a better aftermarket fan like a ML120 or NF-P12

You want your temps under 70C if possible.

I cant afford any new things to buy right now.

I opened the PC up and holy moly the amount of dust that had accumulated (i regularly clean it! last time was only 2 months ago)
but temps dropped about ~10 degrees so its all good i guess
