It's a stupid and unnuanced approach, but some introspection is necessary here. "Us" Trump supporters made ample use of tu quoque arguments to defend Trump's misconduct over the past 4 years. It really shouldnt surprise us, nor are we in a position to be outraged, when the other side uses the same tactic.

To form a reasonable, fact-based opinion, one needs to look very carefully at the actual extent of the misconduct and hypocrisy in question. When we do that, this Biden-burisma story ranks relatively high, certainly higher than a lot of the minor Trump "scandals" which were portrayed by the liberal media like the end of the world. But such a nuanced or complex assessment of the iusses cannot be expected from the masses.

There were widely spread tweets claiming Biden wasn't doing any more public events for the rest of the campaign. This was spread by even sensible conservatives in my feed. And today there was one from Byron York saying Biden had no events, which was not true.

So we can expect this sort of thing pretty much every day until November 3rd.
