Im new and im mr 7. Im using a dera vandal and i forma’d it once already.
I was planning to use a bunch more on it but im hesitant because it reloads slow and has a small magazine - this is important to me because i want to be able to kill efficiently without wasting excess mods on reload and magazine size
Any advice?

So you are basically asking if it is worth formaing it more? I amnr20+ and havent touched the game for 3-4 months now so I don't know the meta but I can't imagine dera vandal being up there.

HOWEVER, if you are having fun with the weapon then keep formaing it, you will sooner or later have almost all weapons and realize that u are actually using only 1-7 weapons out of hundreds. So don't worry about wasting shit, you could always do sorties and shit and get more formas.

Thank you! Yes this was my main question. I am also asking if its a bad idea to use magazine size and reload mods or if there are special rare mods that do two things at once

Usually people go for damage, status, crit shit unless u have an sniper but you could check out some builds:
