Exactly this. What pisses me off too is that the poor attention span casuals that they're catering this game to will quit the game after 2-3 months and move on to the next big popular thing regardless. What's the point of dumbing down this game and not focusing on the core audience, even if it's smaller than the casuals. Path of Exile is proof that quality over quantity is the way to go with this genre and franchise.

Acti-Blizz ain't anything like the one that made us those original franchises and the sequels before the merger. That's why I never bought D3 and will prolly never buy another game from them unless theres significant change in how they make their games.

I'm probably still going to buy D4, but no pre-order or MTX or anything. I'm just too big of a Diablo fan to not try it. Only this time when I purchase it, I will 100% be prepared to get disappointed. What's the policies on their refunds? Is it like Steam?

Well you can be a big fan of Diablo series without spending money on new Acti-Blizz stuff after they've apparently burned you. If you're big on their older games, go back to them and enjoy.
I'm just starting another D2 ladder. I'v lost count how many I'v done, but it 's the support I can do now.

D2/PoE is pretty much all I play. I will still try any Diablo title, but really high chance i"ll refund D4.

I'm going to play d4 no matter how shit it is.. but I'm trying to be optimistic, don't really care about refunding 70$ lol I'm sure I'll still get some fun times out of it
