What is it you’re attempting to do with the audio interface where it isn’t working?

What condenser microphone and what audio interface are you using?

So!

When you have an issue with making your condenser mic to work properly, it's best to have a closer look at the root cause before switching technologies completely. Pro Tools is good software and if you're using an audio interface everything should work even on Windows.
There are three things I'd suggest to check first.
- are you sure you have enabled phantom feeding on the interface?
- are you sure the audio interface drivers are installed?
- are you sure that Pro Tools is correctly using those drivers, and not trying to record via one of Windows' standard drivers?

If you can double check these things and still have an issue, please provide some more information on what exactly is the problem you are facing. I know bits and pieces about recording with USB interfaces so there's a chance I could save you $250 this way. :p

Would not recommend this. iPad don’t have near enough for this to work.you will inevitably experience a lot of delay and potential crashing doing it this way. People do it but definitely not recommended.

This. Even with a audio interface that's compatible with iPad, the low RAM and processing power will be very limiting.
