I want to go 144hz 1440p ultrawide but the idea of a monitor that costs almost as much as the pc isn’t a fun idea in my head

It’s like throwing 2k wheels on a 1500 dollar Honda

Keep in mind that running 3440 x 1440 @ 144-165hz is going to be significantly more demanding than even 4k @ 60h; you better have some pretty beefy hardware if you're playing anything more than esports games on it.
If you aren't playing shooters or anything that really benefits from the higher refresh rate, just look for a 60hz ips one. If you play shooters just get a 2560 x 1440 or a 2560 x 1080 monitor.

2080ti will probably be fine in most games, the 2070 I still wouldn't run for 1440 ultrawide high refresh outside of esports and older titles.

Why?
Max settings suck anyways
Especially many aa variants
can't really notice visual difference just hurts frames badly
I'll deal with little random possibly jagged edge for way more frames

Nice to benchmark though
