in the last 2 released of diablo.... "diablo ii LoD, and diablo 3... overpowered sets and uniques, including runewords created a situation where everyone was running the same gear. Basically resulting in not picking anything up except those items. The fun thing about classic is that you are constantly picking up gear that has the potential to be good, or even godly. Of course it has to roll correctly. So it's in a sense a sort of gambling type feel. Constantly rolling the numbers trying to get better gear, and it happens often. With vkill in classic, almost every game you're finding several items that could potentially id into one of the best items on the server. That's what makes it fun.
