Have you made sure you're temps are okay so you're not throttling? Have you overclocked as well?
If you really wanna stay on the less money route you could probably just look for a used 6700k online and toss a decent cooler on it if you don't already have one and that should hold you over for quite a while. It's the same architecture as the current lineup of Intel cpu's so you won't be gaining much by upgrading.

except used skylake processors are all overpriced as hell
2nd gen ryzen made skylake and kaby lake obsolete

you can get a new 2600 and a b450 board for less than a used 6700k

people on ebay are dense

Damn, I figued you'd be able to find one for like $100-150 on hardwareswap or something; don't really keep up on used hardware prices.

might not want to hear it but I would def go with a ryzen, especially at the ~500$ pricemark. AMD is blowing intel out of the water this season

I mean on the extreme budget end the i3-9100f still whoops the 3200g... and for less. But for anything between $600 and like 1500, I agree Ryzen is the way to go.

if only playing those games
seems like a slight upgrade
sea of thieves and destiny 2 looks to top out around 6 core usage so that will be good will those
but you will be able to play many other games with ease

what was really important question no one asked

what is your resolution you playing at?

Ok your cpu should be fine for few years now with that 3900

100 percent cpu usage isn't that bad. Actually it shows its not bottlenecking your gpu
But 4 cores 4 threads has become lower tier in the cpu world

This fall upgrade your gpu
