You're crazy if you think you're gonna id a bunch of quality rares with the drop of a hat.

it is my first time id'ing amulets.

I understand why a (imo ok amulet) goes for hundreds of fg now.

cause with 75fg the best I got was a lvl 9 (4str/4dex/1.7 life)

wish I was joking. but there all charsi.

go a few weird ammys though....



NEVER in my life have I seen an ammy or ring with above 40 single res.

so this is kinda interesting to say the least.

the required level of the item has no impact on where it was found. If you want me to verify if your amulets were hell found lmk

It's gambling, generally youll get a couple good rares in ten thousand unids or so, seriously, really good rares are r a r e. Top ones more so than that.

But its a bit entertaining to gamble a ton of unids i admit, i did it too.. bought for a few k, got nothing great.

Required lvl says nothing of item lvl, ull get a bunch of hell found amulets with req lvl 15, 37 etc.

Unless your fun is simply identifying loads of items (which I totally understand), don't expect to get anything good. The odds for that are incredibly low.
Like the others have said items are generated on drop and identifying only reveals what was already there.

Item Level (not visible without modifying the game) determines which of the affixes applicable to that base item are available to be picked (affix pool); greater Item Level => larger affix pool (as a rule of thumb).
The affix system is, unfortunately, designed so that (essentially) all lower level affixes remain in the affix pool all the way up to Item Level: 99. (The few exceptions that exist do not change the general picture.)
Because of this and the existence of affix frequencies, the most wanted combinations of affixes all with (near) maximum stat values legitimately occur on a scale comparable to hitting the national lottery jackpot.

Required Level of an Amulet is determined by the affixes chosen. Without knowing Raven Talisman's Item Level, I can tell you that it could be any integer 12-99 (basically anywhere Normal end Act I to Hell Baal).
The common affix distribution for rare items is 1:2:3:2. That is 1:(1+2+3+2) = 1:8 = 12.5% chance of 3 affixes - and similarly 25.0% chance of 4 affixes, 37.5% chance of 5 affixes, 25.0% chance of 6 affixes.
Raven Talisman has 3 affixes (12.5%).

Gambling with 'Unidentified' item packs is usually a loser's game - even when purchased from somebody who did not modify the truth.
