I'm 6 weeks away from finishing my home build and the wife wants to upgrade some pots and pans in our house. I've been using the same non stick Calphlon for years, and I'm finally budging.

I really like Le Creuset, the enamled cast iron seems almost too good to be true and the non stick just feel great in the hands.

Any opinions on these/other similar brands like Staub?

Le Creuset enameled is far and away best. Get it. Allclad pots, saucepans and skilleys are really ghod.

it is a very good choice le creuset's pan are lifetime pan's. If there is no recovering on the cast iron do not wash it with soap at all and always oil it after use. The covering will eventually go away anyways but it is not necessary to change the pan at this point if you take good care as i explained.
