Hi friends! My wife and I are going to Barcelona in May. We're trying to figure out what area within Barcelona we should stay in. Here's what is important to us:

1. Tasty local food that isn't super expensive
2. Cool area to just walk around and enjoy the city and the culture

What we do not care about:

1. Night clubs
2. Tourist traps

BeVERY carefull about poachers. Barcelona is full of people trying to rob tourist. A lot of inmigrants.

If you want to taste good food from catalonia go to eat to the Agut restaurant.

Been at barcelona a couple times, try to book a table at Tickets bar (isn't super expensive and is awesome).
Also try La Briciola, Pino Prestanizzi (famous youtuber pizzeria).

To walk around, gothic nb and walking in the beach close to olympic nb.

Also i'll suggest you to go at the central plaza and take one of those buses.
