So I'm going to send a message today....and I'm looking all over of the New Message button and I don't see it with the group of buttons...finally I find it WAY on the right all alone by itself.

I'm thinking....why the heck is it way over there I barely even noticed it...and I gotta stretch my mouse way to the right...

I understand it's not the context of the left side buttons: Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Saved, Trash are all folders...

But this isn't English class...it's a message center. They don't have to be grammatically correct, it's good enough that they're in the same context.

Make the "New Message" button Bold or Opposite Colors, or make it stand out somehow to make it obvious it's not a folder choice......but it should be conveniently next to the other buttons for ease of use.

i go to someones profile if i wanna mssg someone, also guaranteed youre contacting the right person when doing it that way

ya that's what I did for years too just went to profile and sent through the link

then the other day I went to send a direct message rather than browse through the unorganized friends list (another issue I brought up years ago... Why no Sort By functions? zzzz) and I couldn't find the button.

I think its fine where it is, I use it when I know the users name occasionally.
