The study you showed us compared populations from different countries without isolating the variables. It was a bad study.

Wtf are you talking about, fail spin. I didn’t post a study

There is not one study that has stated Remdesivir decreases mortality, YOUR bogus claim

Are you drunk at 10am on Saturday?

It may not have been you, but it was the study all the anti-Remdes’ers used as their central premise.

You are the one making the claim, what anyone else posted is actually irrelevant right now. Not sure if you’re following along

Remdesivir makes a mild difference but only in deaths

Wrong

add to the list of all the stuff you make up on the spot, and lack the spine to take accountability for erroneous claims

Furthermore who are these mysterious anti remdesivirs lol. Nobody is actively against this, people just acknowledge it’s uses and limitations, quite simple as that. Believe it or not, there are not convoluted conspiracies with everything

Mortality was reduced by about 60% apparently. But it only works if given early

A bunch of people said remdesivir didnt work about two months ago because one study said so.

Pay attention:

The ONLY thing Remdesivir has been demonstrated to do is a reduction in hospitalization from 15 days, to approximately 10-11 days. When the data is normalized you get an indirect mortality benefit strictly by being out of the hospital for those 4 days. Just like PTSD rates are also lower in someone in the hospital for 11 days as opposed to 15 days, is anyone making the claim Remdesivir decreases PTSD? I hope this distinction is clear. And yes, the drug needs to be given when oxygenation requirements are already low. The WHO trial that was later published stated there was no difference in hospitalization rates at 10 days, 15 days, and 28 days. That is the only point that is up for dispute. There is a stark distinction between indirect mortality benefit and direct mortality benefit when talking about clinical therapies. Metformin has an indirect mortality benefit for individuals with colon cancer, is metformin now standard of care for colon cancer?

TLDR: Remdesivir has NO direct mortality benefit, some studies say it decreases hospitalization from 15 days to 10-11 days. Given these are American studies, this is what every hospital worth their grain in the US is doing. This potential reduction in hospital course then THEN has obvious benefit like decreases mortality and decreases in PTSD rates. The reduction in hospital course only occurs when given at low oxygen requirements, not linked with timeline.

That doesnt seem sensible.

How is Mortality is counted per day and not per patient?

Expand on your question, I am not certain which part is not making sense

Hospitals are always near capacity. Otherwise they waste money.

The situation isnt ideal but the fearmongerers are fucking up.

That is so stupid it hurts. All you did is make it obvious how little you know about healthcare.

To be honest it’s totally out of control and the increased death numbers you are seeing and will see will reflect this.

Nursing ratios are absolutely atrocious and you see delayed vitals, meds being delayed, all orders being delayed

Lab techs behind and u have labs that coming back hours to half a day later

Imaging techs behind

This is just in my city. And as I reiterate this is for every admitted patient, not just corona patients. Having an extra 100k hospitalized really does create havoc

I am not disagreeing that the early lockdown was unnecessary in 99% of the country. Cruel reality is nobody knew how rampant it was, if you were on the cusp of a NYC or Detroit. Without data you are flying blind. Hindsight has shown that lock down to be a miscalculation, but doesn’t change the inevitability that will be the next 1-2 months. We actually will see 300k dead by the end of this year which by American standards should be considered a complete failure

Ya I'm happy not in usa but also worried for my American friends 😥
